Note names

The notes are named after the alphabet: A B C D E F G.
In German and in some other languages, the "B" is replaced by the "H." This results in the A H C D E F G series.

Wikipedia writes:
This initially illogical designation of the stem tone H has the following historical cause:
To designate the clay advance used in the Middle Ages, the first seven letters of the alphabet were first sufficient, with A of course being followed B. By the 11th. In the 19th century, Guido von Arezzo established a split of Tons B into a higher (b durum) and deeper variant (b molle), distinguished in the script by an angular ♮ (b quadratum) and round ♭ (b rotundum) form of the letter b. From the b quadratum emerged the present dissolution sign and the cross, from which b rotundum became the displacement sign b.
Due to the visual similarity of the b quadratum with the letter h and the subsequent use of the pressure type h for the b quadratum was published in the 16th century. In the 19th century, in Germany, Scandinavia and the West Slavic region, the name H was used for the 7th century. Level of the basic scale that has been beginning since Zarlino (1571) with C. [1] In the Anglo-Saxon language area, our H is still called B, while it is where our B (i.e. the humiliation of the H by a half tone) is called "B flat." Https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/H_ (Music)
